Fall Festival and Our Little Ladybug

Our little ladybug!! Some friends from our church loaned Lana this ladybug costume. We were very thankful because I didn't really want to buy a costume, but wanted to dress Lana up! We were able to go to the Fall Festival at Highview, and meet up with some of our friends there. We had such a good time!!
Lana had a blast running and dancing around! Attempt at a family photo!!
Our little ladybug :) eating cotton candy, she really did have a good time even though it doesn't look like it in this picture Lana and Daddy We met up with Ben and Kelly, and Mike and Manda there. We were trying to get a picture of the ladybug and the Monkey (Owen), but this is the best I could get :)

Pumpkins

We bought Lana a pumpkin a couple weeks ago, and she has been excited about it ever since. She loves pumpkins, all though she can't quite say the word. She says "pumpki" everytime she sees one.
We decided to carve it today and Lana was so excited....she of course didn't really help with the carving, but had a blast playing with the pumpkin and cleaning it out The finished pumpkin. It looks like lana carved it herself, I didn't do a very good job, and it is now said that Josh will be the carver in years to come. I just love this picture! So proud of her pumpkin!

Just to add to my previous post. Today Lana and I were at Kroger and the cashier asked how old Lana was. People often ask, but the cashier said "How old is she, 2?" Wow, I can't believe Lana is old enough to look like a 2 year old. I wanted to say "No, she is only 1" It is funny how at first we count the days, then the weeks, then for quite a while we count the months. Now I want to say she is only 1 1/2, because it can't be true that my baby is almost 2????

Hair

I recently noticed how long Lana's hair is getting. I cannot even believe it. Here are a few pictures of her in the bath, and then right after. I know it looks longer when it is wet, but it still just looks so long. Our little girl is growing so fast!!Also, her hair naturally curls at the ends, so when I pull it straight it looks a lot longer. Here is a picture of Lana one year ago. Thought it would be interesting to see how much she has grown in the last year. Here she is 8 months old! Almost completely bald :) And here she is now, at 20 months old! Can't believe how fast our girl is growing!!

Busy, Busy

We have been super busy for the last month really. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE to be busy, and we also LOVE to travel. First when the power went out, for what they said was going to be two weeks, Lana and I went to Colorado for two weeks, we flew back in on a tuesday, got hit with the stomach flu, left for Ohio on Friday, then the next wednesday my parents flew in, they were here for a week, and for the weekend we went to Nashville. Ok, so maybe it doesn't sound very busy, but that is a lot of traveling especially for a little one. Lana did so great on all of the trips. She really is getting to be a seasoned traveler. So now we are relaxing a little and getting back into a normal routine. . . we are excited for fall activities and the weather getting cooler!! There is our happy girl! Lana will be 20 months on the 20th... hard to believe she is getting so big! While Grandpa and Grandma Davis were here, we had Christmas a little early. Lana got a new dress for her "Build a Bear," she loves her bear! Lana and I try to go for at least one walk a day... this is how we have been taking our walks lately. Lana loves to walk herself, and push her baby in her stroller, I think it is so cute! Stopping by the fountain!!
Josh's Grandparents live on a farm in Northern Ohio, and they have a lot of apples this year, they were nice enough to give us quite a few, so I have been making apple everything. Here is an Apple Crumb pie I made last night. I think this is my favorite recipe yet....

Photo Shoot

Now, I am no photographer, but I would think even for the best of photographers it would be hard to photograph toddlers. It is very hard to get them to sit or stand still, or do what you want them to do. Even though I am not a "Professional" I enjoy taking pictures. We thought it would be cute to get some pictures of the three little girls in their Flower Girl dresses. (They were the flower girls in our sisters wedding) Here are some that turned out pretty cute!

September!!

As you know from my last post, since there was no power in Louisville for what they said was going to be 2 weeks, Lana and I were able to travel back to Colorado. We had such a good trip, and had such a good time with family, we LOVE going back home, even though we missed Josh, and wished he could have come with us. Here are a few pictures from our trip!
Here is Lana, and her cousins Kaylee and Andrew at a corn maze! We went to a farm where there were all kinds of activities for the kids including a corn maze, we also got to ride a hay ride out into the fields and pick our own vegtables! Lana walking through the corn maze, such a big girl! The Denver Zoo! All the cousins on my side, most of them not looking, but I was happy just to get a picture with all of them in it! Kaylee (7), Andrew (5), Jaiden (3), Lana (19 mo.), and Kirsten (14 mo.)! Lana was very interested in reading all of the signs :) (not really) Lana and Jaiden, best friends!!
Grandma Davis (My mom) with Lana, Jaiden, and Kaylee. They walked like this for quite a while, it was so cute!Anything that Lana could sit on she would, silly girl! We went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate Jaiden's birthday! She will be 3 on the 3rd! This was Lana's first time at Chuck E. Cheese and she loved it. All three of the little girls on a ride, at least Jaiden is looking at the camera :)And on our last day in CO, we went swimming! It was freezing inside, but Lana still enjoyed it, such a big girl!
