"Bye Bye Paci"

I had to take one last picture of Nathan with his pacifier. He loved that thing so much, but it was time!! On the day I decided to take away we went around the house and gathered all of the paci's we could find and put them in a plastic bag. I explained that he was a big boy and didn't need a pacifier anymore. I let him suck on it one last time, I felt so bad taking it away. :( From about 9 months on I only let my kids have them at night time and nap time, sometimes in the car, and more on vacation when we are completely off schedule. But for the most part nathan was so good about leaving his pacifier in the crib when he got up. The first night Nathan cried for quite a while, and we had a few rough patches after that, but now it has been over a week and he is doing great! Next milestone, the big boy bed! I have wanted to move Nathan for a while, the toddler bed has been set up in his room, but didn't want to do it until I took the pacifier away, I figured he would handle it much better if he was confined :) Anyway, I will be sure to update how that goes!!

Playing Outside

We are SO SO thankful for the nicer weather we have been having the last few days! It has been wonderful! On Saturday we kept the Murphy boys, Jack and Tate, and the kids had a blast playing all day!We turned our backyard into a water park and let the kids have at it.The three older kids had a blast!

Tate spent most of the day by myside, I didn't get any pictures of him, but he was having fun watching the older kids play!

Gymnastics

Lana completed her first session of Gymnastics at "All About Kids." Each kid got a ribbon for their accomplishment! Each session is 10 weeks long, and Lana learned a ton, as well as had so much fun doing. She looked forward to Monday mornings every week so she could go to her gymnastics class. I am so thankful she got this opportunity!

Balloon Glow

 Friday night we went to the Balloon Glow as part of the Derby Festival.   There was actually perfect weather, no rain, and no wind. Here is Lana with the balloons before it started

 We went with our good friends Mike, Manda, Jack, and Tate.  Jack and Lana had fun running around waitng for the Balloon Glow to start

Ended up being a very late night for the kids, we didn't get home until 11:30 after we sat in traffic for a few hours, but that is ok.  We all had fun!!
