Nathan is 2 Years Old

And 2 years later, our sweet, sweet boy! We just love this little boy so much! He is so much fun, such a happy, smiling boy, and I love how his personality is developing more and more! He is talking a ton, and it is so sweet to hear, as well as nice to be able to communicate with him!

Nathan had his 2 year well check today. He weighs 28 lbs and is 37 inches tall. A very tall boy, and our boy has definitely thinned out. He is actually the same weight he was at 18 months, but 2 inches taller, unless their scale wasn't working today, because it seems a little odd. But he is a very active boy, and has turned from a chubby baby to a toddler!

Backyard Bible School

On Saturday our Church put on Backyard Bible School for our community, we had Bible School type set up for babies through 5th grade, then different Bible studies for youth, ladies, and for men. Kids and adults all got to particpate in activities, and of course there was plenty of food, then we ended with a service by our Pastor!

At first Lana and Sydney were the only ones in their class. Here they are practicing their songs, so cute!

Oak Street Beach

Our last day in Chicago we decided to go back to the beach. This time we visited Oak Street Beach. It is much larger, and less crowded, it was wonderful! No, it isn't the Ocean, but it is still a real beach. The great lakes are so pretty, and with water as far as the eye can see! I hadn't been to The Great Lakes since 1994, I forgot just how pretty they were!

McDonalds Chicago Style

Yes, I decided to dedicate this whole post to McDonalds! After the park (last post) we walked back to our hotel and decided to rest for a while. Correction, I sat down and rested while the kids, literally, bounced off the walls. :) Since we had eaten a big lunch really late, Josh and I weren't hungry for dinner, so we decided to walk down to McDonalds to get the kids something to eat. It was just about 6 blocks from our hotel.
