On our drive out to Colorado we got stuck in a snow storm. What is normally a 16-18 hour drive ended up taking us 2 1/2 days. The roads were so bad they closed part of I-70, so we stayed the night in Kansas. Above is the kids in the hotel. They love staying in hotels, so they didn't mind at all. Eating breakfast in bed watching cartoons!

Lana in her Christmas dress. We never would have thought just a few hours after this picture was taken Lana would be throwing up all over the dress, and her youngest cousin. Yep, that's right. Lana got the stomach flu on Christmas Day. Nathan had it two days earlier (although we didn't know, we were really hoping it was something he ate) and gave it to everyone, including my Mom, Dad, Sister, brother in law, and Josh and I. Not the best way to spend Christmas evening and the few days following :( Luckily, the kids didn't give it to their six cousins!

We have a small hill in our backyard that is perfect for our kids to sled down, they had a ball!
I am sure with a little more snow the sled would be even more fun! Here's to hoping we get more!! :)

Ava Joy turned 4 months old on Dec 30th. She is such a sweet and happy girl! She loves to roll over, play in her play gym, sit/play in her exersaucer, and she loves it when her siblings play with her! She just started solid foods and she absolutely loves to eat! What a joy she is!
At her 4 month check up last week Ava weighed 15 lbs 8 oz and is 26 3/4 inches long! Our perfect and healthy girl!
